The product
From champion select to your next game.
Gankademy is a Windows desktop app for League of Legends. It prepares your draft, stays quiet during the game, and afterwards shows you the decisions that mattered — in a film, with a coach, checked against the facts.

Before the game
Draft with your pool, not someone else’s.
Gankademy follows your champion select from the League client, read-only, and glues a strip under it with three or four options — each in its own colour:
Comfort pick — a champion you love and know
Best win rate — against your likely lane opponent
Best in your draft — what it brings to your team’s locked picks
Your best pick — the strongest overall
Each card gives its record against the lane opponent with its number of games, and a three-bar gauge of how far the sample can be trusted. Once you lock, the strip shows your champion’s plan: up to three builds, runes, summoner spells, skill order and two or three matchup notes. Rather type the draft yourself? The manual draft does the same.
One click can import a suggested rune page into the client, as a single page named “Gankademy: champion”. Your own pages are never edited.

During the game
Stays in its corner.
- Your rule words, up to three — the largest text, so a glance is enough.
- The build you chose before the game, with the gold still needed for each item from your own gold — a tick when it is within reach.
- Your CS per minute, and the item-value gap between the teams as the Tab scoreboard shows everyone.
- A hotkey (Ctrl+Shift+Space by default) expands it for four seconds: full rule sentences, situational items.
- Every click goes through to the game, and it never takes focus. Drag it once by its grip; it stays there.
No timer, no enemy tracking, no cooldowns, no power-spike alert, no sound. Settings → Companion turns the reminder, or just its live numbers, off. With recording on, Gankademy records your screen with Windows’ own screen capture — encoded by your graphics card when it can — starting and stopping with the game.

Right after the game
Your debrief, about a minute later.
As soon as Riot publishes the match — usually 30 to 90 seconds after the end — Gankademy notifies you and opens your debrief: how the game went, a score for that game, and what became of your three missions.
A mission ends kept, missed or not observed, with the moment it rests on. When nothing confirms it, Gankademy says so instead of guessing.
The score on 10 comes with a tier of Gankademy’s own ladder, from the score each one starts at:
- Tourist1.5
- Rookie3.5
- Grinder4.7
- Tryhard5.8
- Carry7.1
- Boss8.2
- Monster9.1
- Demon King9.7
A Gankademy tier for that one game, from its score. Not a rank and not a rating of players; not affiliated with or endorsed by Riot Games.
Ten missions measured straight from Riot’s match data
Free, without any AI: the debrief says “measured from the game data”, with the times it rests on. The other rules — ENGAGE, PLACEMENT, COOLDOWN… — are decisions inside a fight: the coach judges them when you ask for an analysis.
Giving a bounty of 400 gold or more: missed. Three kills in a row without giving it: kept.
A lane death before 14:00 involving your direct opponent while they were a level or about 700 gold ahead.
After each fight you profited from, dying within 30 seconds is the second commit gone wrong — kept at least one time out of two.
An ally dies at an objective and you die within 20 seconds: missed. In that fight and still alive: kept.
At the objectives your team played, you alive: in the fight at least one time out of two.
Fights of three kills or more near you after 10:00: there at least one time out of two.
Dragon or Baron played after 10:00: back to base in the four minutes before, or arrived with 1,000 gold unspent.
A ward placed in the two minutes before each objective your team played.
Your ganks before 14:00: a kill without dying is kept; a death, or only an ally down, is missed.
Each visit of the enemy jungler to your lane before 14:00: whether you die in it or not.
The Final Review
The film, for real.
Frames from a real Final Review made during the closed test, on a Lee Sin game (a French film, with the Hypeman). The film pauses on the decision, lists what the screen showed, zooms on the minimap and draws where to fall back.
- Two or three moments per film, deaths first, and always at least two clips — about one and a half to two and a half minutes.
- Each moment has a name — “The missed retreat” — and three beats: the decision, the pause, the outcome. Then a takeaway.
- “What you could see”: the facts your own screen showed at that second — objectives, your level, the enemies your minimap showed.
- Only arrows on the map: where to fall back — along your lane toward your side, or toward your base from the jungle.
- Your coach in the corner, with its poses and a moving mouth, in its own voice or a Windows voice. Up to three rules for your next game at the end.

Who is where on your minimap.
While reading your screen, Gankademy records each enemy icon on your minimap with its position and its portrait’s colours. After the game, Riot gives every champion’s real position each minute and at each kill: an icon sitting exactly there gets its name for sure, and the rest is named step by step along its path, or by its portrait.
- A champion never has two icons at once, nor one while dead.
- When it is not sure: “unidentified”, never guessed.
- It only names what your minimap showed — never where an unseen enemy was.
- Tested on 13 games: 106 names right out of 109 given. All computed on your PC.
How the coach judges
Fair to you, fair to the game.
The coach analysis runs after the game, only when you ask for it. Every moment takes the same path — and is dropped when the facts disagree.
- Your recording
Captured on your PC, from your own screen.
- Key moments
Deaths first, then the fights and objectives around you.
- The coach judges
Seeing only what existed before the decision: no hindsight.
- The truth gate
Each claim checked against Riot’s match data and your minimap.
- Your film
Only what passed. When unsure: “unidentified”, never guessed.
At 6:06 your minimap showed Wukong leaving his jungle.
Matches your minimap at that second → kept.
Nobody could have known where Wukong was.
Your minimap showed him, named → the moment is stopped.
Two example claims about the moment of the film above, and what the truth gate does with each.
Two passes, no hindsight.
The judgment sees only what existed before the decision: frames and clips that end before it, Riot’s data cut at that second. What happened next is described separately and cannot change the verdict.
Nothing you could not see.
Enemy wards, purchases, items, gold and positions are removed from what the judgment receives. Riot’s per-minute positions only put a name on an icon your own minimap showed.
A false claim stops the moment.
Every answer is checked against a strict format and against the facts. Say an enemy was nowhere while your minimap showed him, named: the moment is dropped, not shown.
Moments, not blame.
Moments are named for what happened — “One engage too many” — and a game with a single slip also shows your best good decision.
Progression
Habits, not a wall of tips.
Three missions per role, drawn from your own recurring habits among 22 principles. Each habit follows a visible path:
- Seen once1 game
- Watched2 games
- Confirmed3 games
- Broken3 clean games in a row
The rules table counts, for each rule, the games where it was kept or missed — judged by the coach or measured from Riot’s data. Progress is earned only by what your games show: never by wins, kills or time played.

Ask your coach
A question? Your coach answers from your games.
Answers rest on your own coaching data: your missions, your habits, your judged moments. Ready-made questions get you started.
What is my biggest problem lately?
Over your last games, most of your deaths came right after an objective your team had just taken. That is your PATIENCE rule: check the map before you commit again.
What have I improved?

Friends · optional
Compare with the friends you choose.
Turn on “Share my profile” and only the friends you accept, who share theirs too, see your Gankademy profile: your Riot ID, your official rank as Riot gives it, your Gankademy level, your games’ scores, your champions, your records, your missions and your rules table — side by side with theirs.
Never your videos, reviews, recordings or voice notes. No public list. “Stop sharing” deletes your profile, friendships and requests from our server.
Your data
Your games stay on your PC.
Kept small, kept local
- Recordings, reviews and coaching history are stored on your computer.
- A game’s full recording is kept only until its review is made — 24 hours when the game is not analysed, 48 hours at most. The Final Review is kept.
- Everything stays under a storage cap (10 GB at most), oldest first. A recording you mark to keep is never deleted automatically.
Yours to delete
- Settings → Your data deletes recordings, reviews, analyses — or everything at once.
- “Delete everything” first withdraws your shared profile from our server; if it cannot, nothing is deleted and you are told.
- Settings → Export coaching history gives you your coaching records as a JSON file.
