Closed test Français

Riot & fair play

Exactly what Gankademy reads — and what it never does.

Written for players and for Riot Games’ reviewers. Every line describes the closed-test build, version 0.2.24, as checked on 21 October 2026. When the app changes, this page changes with it.

Product
Closed test with a few invited players. No public release, nothing for sale.
Riot registration
Application on the Riot Developer Portal, under review.
Riot approval
None claimed. Gankademy isn’t endorsed by Riot Games.
API key
Held only on our server, never inside the app.

What Gankademy reads

Six sources. Nothing else.

Riot Games APIThrough our server

What
Your account (Riot ID → PUUID), level and icon, your official rank as Riot gives it, your champion masteries, your list of matches, each match and its timeline; platform status. Static game data (champions, items, runes) from Data Dragon.
When
Outside games. A match and its timeline once the game is over.
Why
Your profile, your history, the debrief and the post-game analysis.
How
The app holds no API key. Its requests go through our server (a Cloudflare Worker), which adds the key and forwards only these endpoints, as GET requests, with a daily cap per tester.

Statistics sampleAggregates only

What
Finished ranked solo games on EUW, through the official API — no scraping: players listed in Riot’s ranked tiers from Platinum to Diamond, then the players met in those games. Turned into aggregates: builds, runes, skill orders, matchups, each with its sample size.
Never
No player is named or profiled. Testers receive an anonymised statistics pack: no PUUID, Riot ID, match id or time.

League Client, in champion selectLocal · read-only

What
Two GET requests: /lol-gameflow/v1/gameflow-phase and /lol-champ-select/v1/session. From the session, only: your own cell and assigned position, champion ids picked or hovered by your team, completed enemy picks, bans (enemy bans only once revealed), the timer phase.
Never
Names, Riot IDs, PUUIDs, summoner ids, ranks, chat, other players’ positions, enemy hovers. They are dropped where the answer is read: never stored, logged or shown.
When
About one request a second in champion select, fewer otherwise, none when the client is closed. Not available for accounts in Korea.
One write
Only on your click: importing a suggested rune page as one page named “Gankademy: champion” (GET pages and inventory, POST /lol-perks/v1/pages, and DELETE of Gankademy’s own earlier page only). Your pages are never edited; with no free page, nothing is written.
Switch
Settings → Companion. Outside the closed test, automatic reading is off until the player turns it on. In the closed-test build it starts on for the invited testers, under a visible “Private test” banner, and they can turn it off; a manual draft works without it.

Live Client Data API, in gameLocal · official API

What
gamestats (game mode and clock) and the active player’s name: to start and stop recording and align the video with the game clock. With “Live data in game” on: playerlist every 5 s (your own CS; the items each player holds, as the Tab scoreboard shows everyone) and your own currentGold from activeplayer, every second while the reminder shows it.
Never
Another player’s gold, cooldowns or position; anything the game does not show you.
How
Local HTTPS at 127.0.0.1:2999, its certificate checked against Riot’s published root certificate, never bypassed.
Switch
Settings → Companion → Live data in game. Off: the game is not asked for anything more than the clock.

Your screenOn your PC · your choice

What
Your own screen, captured by Windows (Desktop Duplication, through FFmpeg) and encoded by your graphics card when it can. After the game, Gankademy reads your own HUD and minimap from that recording: your spells, your allies’ health on their portraits, the icons your minimap showed.
When
From the start to the end of a game, only once you have turned recording on.
How
No interaction with the League process. Stored on your PC; a full recording is kept only until its review is made (24 to 48 hours), under a 10 GB cap.

AI analysis and voicesAfter the game · on demand

What
Selected frames and short muted clips of your game view, with structured facts of the game, sent to Google’s Gemini API through our server. Every frame of every clip is checked to be the game view; never sound, never a full recording. The narration text of a film goes to ElevenLabs, through our server, for the coach’s voice.
When
Only when you ask for a coach analysis or a Final Review — never during a game.
How
Our server keeps usage counters only (requests, tokens, estimated cost), never the content of a request or an answer.

What it never does

Twelve lines we do not cross.

Gankademy helps you understand your own games. It never plays them, and never shows you what the game hides.

  • Read game memory, inject into or hook the game, or intercept its network traffic.
  • Automate anything: no pick, ban, lock, hover, accept, dodge, item set, summoner spell or key press. The rune import is one page created on your click.
  • Show timers, enemy cooldowns, enemy positions, enemy gold or anything hidden by the fog during a game.
  • Alert, beep or tell you “do this now” in game.
  • Read or show other players’ names, Riot IDs, ranks or histories in champion select. No de-anonymisation.
  • Use enemy hovers, or enemy bans before they are revealed.
  • Dictate a pick: there are always several options, with their reasons and sample sizes, and none is ranked when the data cannot separate them.
  • Estimate a rank, an MMR or an ELO, or rank players against each other.
  • Show win rates for Arena augments or items.
  • Show ads, in the game, in the client or in the app.
  • Take focus or input during a game: the reminder lets every click through.
  • Judge a decision with what happened after it.

After the game

How the coach stays fair.

Before the decision only

The judgment sees frames and clips that end before the decision, and Riot’s data cut at that second. The outcome is described separately and cannot change the verdict.

What your screen showed

Enemy wards, purchases, items, gold and positions are removed before anything is sent. Riot’s per-minute positions are never drawn on the map: they only put a name on an icon your own minimap showed at that moment.

Facts before words

A claim the facts contradict is refused, and the moment is not shown. On the map, only one drawing: the arrow to where you could fall back.

A game, never a player

Your official rank is shown only as Riot gives it, on your own profile. A game gets a score and a label of Gankademy’s own, from that game alone: never a Riot tier, division, LP or emblem, never said of the player. Friends who both opt in can compare their profiles — two players, no public list, no leaderboard.

Where we stand

The road to a public release.

Before any public release: product registration and audit on the Riot Developer Portal, a production key held by our server, and the features above confirmed with Riot.

  1. 7 Oct 2026Riot’s policies re-read. League Client reading built read-only, off by default, two GET requests, no names.
  2. 14 Oct 2026Our server holds the API keys: no key is ever inside the app.
  3. 16 Oct 2026Rank-like wording removed: a game’s label is Gankademy’s own, from that game alone.
  4. 19 Oct 2026In-game numbers from the Live Client Data API and the rune page import added, each with its switch — to be confirmed with Riot before any public release.
  5. 21 Oct 2026Version 0.2.24: names on the minimap computed on the PC, “unidentified” when unsure. This page written.
